more and more people spread the word to visit the extraordinary structure when the sea was at it's lowest. Stepping 'under' to get inside was often met with mutual amazement by all those present. Sad but still beautiful. The collapsed remains of the Concert Hall were removed during spring tides in January 2010 leaving the iconic Pavilion island to stand on its own. The work was commissioned by the West Pier Trust as a requirement of the i360 planning permission and has the full support of Brighton & Hove City Council and English Heritage. Use in the 2010 calendar.
