distance. One little girl couldn’t resist looking back." It was during coverage of a whooping cough outbreak in their community for the national press with the first whooping cough fatalities in America for three years. At NLP we found this image extremely strong on many levels. Obviously the question of intruding on another 'culture' arises (though freedom of press must come first in covering worthy stories) - but the strength of this image overides all. The composition,weight in black an white and the curiosity of the child are all so poigniant. Amazing shot.
