Discarded lighters are one of the most common things you’ll find if you go beach cleaning. Loads of different colours but one thing in common. They are totally unrecyclable. And Bic alone have made 50 billion of them since 1970.  These lighters come from the collection of artist and campaigner, Louise McCurdy who took me under her environmental wing in 2018.
